Journey to Profits

It was around 2016 that I first got introduced to trading in the Foreign Exchange markets. Right after graduating high school, I was pretty much scouring the internet trying to find a way to make money online.

I was working 2 jobs, days starting around 6am and ending at 12am. With all my teenage wisdom, I also regularly stayed up to 3am binge watching One Tree Hill.

Anyways, to my point. I jumped right into the markets with a LIVE account, and $1,000 that I borrowed from my cousins co-worker. Flipped the account to ~$5,000 in about 2–3 weeks just following trade signals from some “Twitter Guru”. Was feeling on top of the world for sure.

At the time I’m pretty sure I was working at the Dollar Tree at the time, and I remember telling my cousin, “If I make what I was gunna make today at work in this trade, I’ll quit my job right now.” Needless to say, my trade TOOK OFF! Talking about walking on SUNshine. I called in, and never looked back.

Now I wish that my trading career just took off from there. But within a week or two, I blew my account.

I mean it’s only proper to blow an account or two on your trading journey. I recommend only blowing one. Now we know about things like risk management.

Long story short, if you could have shorted my equity curve over the last three years, you would have been a pretty profitable trader. I like to think of those losses as “Tuition Fees”.

But now I can say that I have finally found my grove. Took me three years to figure out the market, most of which I have learned in the past 6 months. Shout out to CORONA for keeping me locked in the house. This blog is basically a journal of my journey to starting an investment fund starting from “ZERO”.

I’ll share my thoughts, ideas, and predictions on the FOREX and Stock market. But my focus will be on the FOREX market and my perspective that has helped me become a better trader.

I’m 25 years old, originally from Hershey, PA; yes the “Sweetest Place on Earth”. And I am currently living in Tampa, FL. I don’t know much of anything about the financial industry, and I don’t have any degrees. I am here to learn, document, and trust the process.

Hope you’ll join me.
